It’s Ben here from the DK team. Don’t tell Donna, but I’ve hijacked the Blog for the day.
We’ve just come off the Total Club Solution event last Thursday and Friday where our Thin & Healthy’s Total Solution Clubs and their teams came from all over the U.S. to our home office in Lima, Ohio for the annual event. And, It’s one of the best events I can remember. Hundreds of small business people from all over the country gathered together for two full days to learn how to build their business, empower their teams, make more money, and change more lives. Everyone who attended was literally buzzing with excitement.
And, like nearly every event, there was TONS of great information shared. The response from the attendees was incredible. Everyone I talked to was roaring to get back to their business and start implementing what they learned. The thing is… we’re all busy, and with so much information, it’s tough to plug in everything learned at events like this. I heard a lot of “I don’t know where to start” from the folks I spoke to.
Sound familiar? Trust me. You’re not alone.
In addition to the events we host ourselves, we attend a number of events ourselves here at DK & Co. And in the past, we’ve battled with the same implementation bottlenecks after attending events like this. We’ve walk away with pages and pages of ideas, but then get stuck on where to start, and to be honest, in most cases, we only implement a fraction of the ideas.
Fortunately, a few years back, we discovered a process that drastically improved our implementation strategy. We call it “chunking” here, but the concept is simple, yet incredibly effective. By “chunking” each idea into individual tasks and pieces, and then prioritizing each “chunk” by which concepts or ideas will produce the biggest impact in our business, we’re able to break each piece of what we learn in to smaller, manageable tasks that get done. And then we repeat the process with each new idea. And, the results have been tremendous for us. We get a lot more done, make better use of what we learn, and everyone is less stressed by information overload.
So, the team got together after the event and decided to share our implementation system with you. We want everyone to have access to this tactic to plug in all the great information we taught at the event. So, we decided to create and send a series of weekly training videos via email, delivering one specific topic each week along with an action plan to get it done in your business.
If you haven’t signed up for our weekly mailing list, now is the time. I’m posting a sign up form right below this post to make it easy. And make sure you don’t wait. The training videos start next week.
