You often hear people ask, “what would you do for a million dollars?” In essence, they’re asking “what would you do to make the kind of money you want to?” I would argue that the question, what WON’T you do has equal validity.

If we don’t stand for something, we’ll fall for anything. We HAVE to draw our lines in the sand regarding the boundaries we have around making money. After years in business, I know that I have 6 boundaries, I call them my Deal Breaker Half Dozen. My business relationships have to fall within these or I don’t operate at my best. Of course, since we’re talking business, whatever it is must make or have the potential to make great money, and have a deadline by which it makes that money. Those are givens.

My 6 boundaries are:

1. It has to be of integrity.

2. It has to match our culture; our vision, mission and purpose.

3. It has to run on a simple, duplicable system.

4. I have to love doing it.

5. I have to genuinely like the people I work with while doing it.

6. It has to be able to positively affect millions of lives.
