Motivation sometimes comes from the most common places. We all make a million decisions every day which dictate our actions and behavior, yet few of us consider how those common decisions affect the people around us. Something that may seem quite trivial to us may also have a profound effect on those around us. I experienced one such example while speaking to a small group recently, which I’d like to share with you…

I spoke to a group of precious girls the other day at Lima Heartbeat, a resource center for young mothers. I shared with them that I AM them. I started where they are… unwed, expecting a baby and moving far away from my family with no money, no car and no place to call my own. I wanted to give them hope and a sense of possibilities. I wanted them to know that no matter what their circumstances, they can always do better.

To the outstanding group of gals that work at Heartbeat and to the group I spoke to I say, “Thank you for having me. My life was enriched because you asked me to share with you. Remember the message…. YOU ARE SPECTACULAR!!!”

After speaking to the group, a young woman came up to me and said she’d prayed SPECIFICALLY the night before for the message I shared. With tears streaming down her face she said, “God heard my prayer.” To you, the reader, I say, “Pay attention, friends. When you feel an ‘unction’, follow it. He wants to use you to be an answer to someone’s prayer today.”
