So this week let us talk Facebook money. I know that most of us are aware, oh well what is it, the second largest nation in the world compared to China, so I would say we are all aware of the power of Facebook. But most of us are aware of the power of a Facebook profile, you know a friend page where you are talking to your friends and your family about what is going on in your life. Well, the thing is Facebook has been proven to make money. As a matter of fact, right here in our business, we are watching this happen. So I just want to talk to you briefly about the two ways Facebook can make you money and something that you can do right now, today, and get pretty excited about getting results so you can start seeing money from Facebook. So here is how Facebook income comes to you – engagement, very simply number one, and fans, very simply number two. Now stay with me, it is only going to take a minute.

Engagement comes from two things – Likes and Comments. And Facebook will tell you what percentage of engagement you have with your list. So here is the thing, 1% or better is outstanding, most people never reach 1%. So check out your Facebook analytics, it is right up there in the corner, you can check it out and see how you are doing. Most people never reach even 1%. We are seeing 4, 5 or 6% with our Facebook pages. Okay, why is that good? Because the more engagement you have going on, the more Facebook notices you and will promote you, if you will, and the more engagement you have going on, well the more people are paying attention to you, so therefore the more your business gets noticed. So here are the two ways you get the engagement – likes and comments. I heard this from the most brilliant Facebook guy, Brian Carter, look him up, he is incredible, and hefacebook2 taught us how to get likes. He said very simply that if you make a statement and ask them if they like it, they will like it and that is engagement. Something along the lines of, one day I posted, it may be raining outside but it is sunny in my spirit. If you like a sunny spirit, click ‘like’. And they clicked like. I just spent the evening with my mom talking about memories. If you love making memories with your mom, click ‘like’. Okay you are getting the idea. Just be you authentically, transparently, just be you, and then say, hey if you like pizza, click ‘like’. And it may be something as simple as your business, if you like feeling in the best shape of your life, click ‘like’. Or it may be, are you kidding me, 25% return on marketing? If you like higher returns on marketing, click ‘like’. You get the idea. You know who is on your list, so talk to them about the information that they want to talk about, and then say, if you like ____, click ‘like’ and they will like. And that is engagement.

Comments, very simply ask them about comments. Ask them a question, so they can give you an answer. What are some of the most precious memories you have made with your family? What are your most favorite traditions? What do you find the easiest forms of marketing to be for your business?what is your favorite exercise? What exercise has given you the best results? You are getting the idea. Relative to your list, ask them questions. Now I find it is better to give them a specific piece of information and then ask them a question, so you have told them something about you, some content from you, some insider information on you and then you ask them a question and they will answer and that is engagement. Engagement increases your popularity.

And like I said, number two, fans. Have the right kind of fan page up. We did not have the right kind of fan page up and nothing was happening. We put up the right kind of fan page, feel free to go to Facebook, Fitness Solution 24×7, you can check it out, and it is like a website. And you know Facebook is the website of the future. I mean when you go there first of all, you need to like us in order to see the whole site. That was key. And then you will see all these amazing pieces that are in essence pages telling you about our business. So you are going to want to do this with your business too, but here was the key, once the person comes to our Facebook fan page and they click like, now they can see a coupon. Well, we had the thing up for five days and already 14 people had claimed the coupon. Let me say that again, in only five days, 14 people had claimed the coupon. And did I mention that is free, free. Okay, you are getting the picture. Put a coupon on the right kind of fan page and you are going to see Facebook dollars.

Lastly, Facebook ads. There is way that you can go check what people are putting in their profile. You can check geographically, so you can pull by the area of the country, if you have a specific area of the country, and you can find out what people are interested in. Very simply, you find your market. And you create a Facebook ad. They are inexpensive, a graphic is very important, put a cool picture on there and put a simple one liner, free report on _____, free quiz on ____, free info on ____, free assessment concerning ____, you get the idea. A graphic is important. Go check out those Facebook words. They are keywords like in pay-per-click with Google, but may not as nearly expensive. You can get Facebook dollars. Engage the people on your list and build your fans. Use this simple formula. It is working for us and it will work for you.
